EA LAB stands for electroacoustic laboratory. We are a group of engineers fascinated with sound and the capabilities of our mobile phones for measuring and processing it. Our passion is raising awareness about the importance of noise and sound for our health and wellbeing.
It all started when we bought our first iPhone. We were fascinated by Apple’s beautiful user experience and also by the fast-growing abundance of different apps that were inviting users to take their smartphones to new levels …
Having an experienced programmer on board, we also wanted to partake. He decided that he will learn to program for iOS. What kind of app should he write? With our background in electrical engineering and with expertise in the field of acoustics, the app that turned iPhone into a sound level meter was created. NoiSee, an intuitive professional-grade sound level meter for iPhone and iPod touch, was released in 2012.
Because NoiSee stood out from other sound level meter apps available for iOS, we were contacted by NIOSH and in cooperation with them NIOSH SLM was created and released in 2017.
Our team grew and we did some research and development for our partner from Slovenia. They brought us in contact with Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM, International Motorcycling Federation). Race Patrol was developed to meet their need for a sound test system that would enable them to perform fast, efficient and fair sound checks before and after races. The first Race Patrol was used in MXGP season 2016. In 2017 it was offered to the public and it also got a little brother – Race Patrol Lite.
Besides developing various OEM solutions for variety of customers, the team worked hard to extend the Noisee revolution in Smartphone based SLM apps to Android as well. Where the same focus on and responsibility for accuracy is upheld.

Race Patrol is a measurement system used by FIM for 2m max sound test. It features a Race Patrol iOS app that can be downloaded from the App Store. In order to perform the measurements, you need to purchase complete Race Patrol or Race Patrol Lite system.
NoiSee is an intuitive professional-grade sound level meter for iPhone and iPod touch. It features all the tools that are expected from a professional ANSI or IEC compliant Sound Level meter. All filters, averaging modes and statistics meet or exceed ANSI type 1 or relevant IEC Standards.
